The full moon is a powerful time for releasing, recharging, and reconnecting with yourself and the Earth. Grounding exercises during a full moon can help you clear stagnant energy, manifest intentions, and restore balance to your mind, body, and spirit.
Why Ground During a Full Moon?
The full moon amplifies emotions and energy, sometimes making people feel restless, anxious, or overwhelmed. Grounding helps to stabilize your energy, allowing you to harness the moon’s power effectively.
Full Moon Grounding
1. Find a Quiet Space
Go outside under the moonlight or near a window where the moon is visible. If possible, stand barefoot on the grass, soil, or sand to strengthen your connection with the Earth.
2. Breathe and Center Yourself
Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Visualize your breath clearing any negative or heavy energy within you.
3. Connect with the Earth
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet, extending deep into the Earth’s core. Feel the grounding energy rising up through your legs, stabilizing your entire body.
4. Absorb the Moon’s Energy
Lift your arms or face toward the full moon. Imagine a soft, radiant light from the moon flowing into your body, filling you with peace, clarity, and strength. Let go of any worries or fears as the moonlight cleanses your energy.
5. Set Your Intentions
Silently or aloud, state what you want to release and what you wish to manifest. You can say:
"I release what no longer serves me. I welcome healing, abundance & balance into my life."
6. Express Gratitude
Thank the Earth and the moon for their support and guidance. Take a moment to appreciate the energy shift and the sense of peace within you.
7. Close the Practice
Take a deep breath and slowly open your eyes. If possible, drink a glass of water or hold a grounding crystal (such as black tourmaline or hematite) to fully anchor yourself.
